Las reglas basicas son muy simples. Juegan dos jugadores en extremos opuestos del tablero, alternando movimientos. Uno lleva las piezas negras, y otro las blancas. Las piezas se mueven en diagonal y las piezas enemigas se capturan saltando sobre ellas.
